Progressive Medical Center is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Atlanta, GA

Progressive Medical Center is a leading Functional and Integrative Medical Practice dedicated to providing holistic healthcare solutions. We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or department.

Appointment Scheduling:

  • Manage and coordinate patient appointment schedules.
  • Utilize the electronic scheduling system to book, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details and any necessary preparations.

Phone Management:

  • Answer and manage incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department.
  • Relay messages accurately and promptly to the relevant staff members.

Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
  • Collect payments when appropriate
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure smooth office operations.

Patient Education:

  • Provide basic information about the services offered at Progressive Medical Center.
  • Educate patients on the necessary steps for pre-appointment preparations.

Maintain a Professional Environment:

  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presents a professional image.
  • Monitor and manage the waiting area to maintain a calm and comfortable atmosphere for patients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) and scheduling systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
