Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the company with troubleshooting of software and hardware problems 
• Maintain stability of network and computer systems, and fix problems as they arise.
• Minimize system downtime through routine and emergency maintenance
• Resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Judiciously escalate problems to the appropriate staff.
• Help the company employees maximize their use of applications and equipment.
• Continuously look for ways to fix issues that others are having.
• Analyze and test systems to ensure that they are meeting current business needs.
• Install and upgrade hardware and software as directed.
• Educate other departments to eliminate issues and solve their own problems.
• Assist other members of the IT department with projects.
• Offer support to technical projects throughout the company as time allows.
• Maintain inventory and knowledgebase systems up to date.
• Assist in developing and improving user interfaces for internal and web-based programs

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of PC hardware and software required
• Knowledge of networking technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, etc) required
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills required
• Knowledge of VMware and HyperV configuration a plus
• Experience in web design and programming languages like PHP, CSS, JavaScript, HTML and XML preferred
• Experience using relational databases like MSSQL and MySQL preferred
• IT degree track preferred
