ProFrac is Hiring a Field Technical Advisor Near Dickinson, ND

Position Summary: Provide a high level of technical advice, counsel, management and support in connection with the design, development and operation of well stimulation services utilizing specialized academic training in science, mathematics, and communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with management directives and policies, processes and procedures by engineering, operations, and safety departments in assigned district.
  • Assist operations with pre-job rig up process, quality control tests, material inventory, job setup, and equipment layout review to ensure fleet meets customer’s expectations.
  • Conduct daily operations and safety location audits and review findings with supervisor and crew.
  • Coordinate technical equipment to ensure proper operations and maintenance schedule.
  • Assist in training and coaching field operations personnel in the use of computer software programs, new technologies, and improved equipment utilized in the monitoring, evaluation, and execution of well stimulation services.
  • Monitor injection rates and pressures, perform quality control and development, and submit post-job assessments, evaluations, recommendations, analyses, and reports.
  • Coordinate with National Operations Center on the design, testing, results, and implementation of equipment and efficiency enhancement projects. Provide reports to NOC and management on field findings and make recommendations for next generation improvements.
  • Perform real-time monitoring and evaluation of well stimulation services performed for customers as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate issues involving job-site technical, operational, design, engineering, and geological issues and confer with and advise customer representatives of recommended solutions to issues involving jobs being performed for the customer.
  • Collect samples of customer fluids for initial testing prior to treatment of reservoir and evaluate test results to determine proper fluids use for job as designed.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Educational and Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Six years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of mathematical and scientific principles applicable to hydraulic fracturing and ability to make practical application of such knowledge in performance of duties.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations utilizing scientific, geological and operational education, training and, experience, and present advice, counsel, and recommendations to clients concerning hydraulic fracturing jobs before, during, and after frac job is performed.
  • Ability to draft technical reports to management.
  • Ability to use and apply mathematics and scientific principles to fulfill job duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to train field personnel in assigned district.
  • Knowledge of general confidential information policies, procedures, and regulations that governs employee and employer confidentiality, and of confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of general principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of team.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
  • Knowledge of higher level mathematics and applicable scientific, technical, geological and engineering principals and demonstrated proficiency in application of these principals to services provided by company to its clients.
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.
  • Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Communication – verbal and written communication, communication with personnel and vendors.
  • Seeing - computer screen usage.
  • Climbing - able to go up and down stairs.
  • Position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week dependent on workload.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty strives for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
