Profocus is Hiring a System Admin / PC Technician Near Phoenix, AZ

TITLE: Systems Admin / PC Tech

LOCATION: HYBRID (Camas, Washington)

PAY: Target pay for this role is between $30-35 per hour but may vary based on experience

ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract (length is indefinite)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Act as the IT System Admin for about 20-30 Linux machines. Configure off the shelf PCs to be engines for training Deep Learning models. For example: take a consumer gaming PC with GPU, uninstall windows, install Linux, install Docker, install TensorFlow. Use Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD methods to get the job done. Manage these PCs over time as they need upgrades, fixes, etc. Prior experience is ideal, but not required – will get training on the job.
10% of the role will be monitoring calibration data from camera software and responding to issues as they arise. No prior experience needed, will get training on the job.
Be available to go onsite in Camas, WA when needed for systems issues, installations, or troubleshooting.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Some experience as a System Admin or exposure to a Linux environment.
Bachelor’s in a CS-related field and/or interest in pursuing an IT career.
Some automation, bash scripting, python scripting is ideal, not required.
Hungry to learn, sense of ownership, problem-solver, self-motivated.
Authorization to work in the US is a precondition of employment - we do not sponsor work visas
