WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Sets up and operates National FXP/Lean Formax 5 and 6 die machines.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read set-up blueprints.
• Measure parts to print with various gages.
• Operate and record measurements (hourly).
• Perform operator preventative maintenance.
• Participate in maintenance driven PM events.
• Support pit-crew style set-ups with 2 employees per set-up.
• Provide feedback to Tooling/Engineering team.
• Frequently interface with materials and maintenance departments.

Safety:

• Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.
• Report all injuries immediately to manager.
• Demonstrates safe and efficient operating skills of machine shop equipment.
• Housekeeping/6S.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years of Header experience

Physical Demands:

• Able to regularly walk and stand for 10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds from time to time.
• Must be able to work in an un-air conditioned, well-ventilated and/or air-conditioned shop environment.
• Visual acuity.
• Manual dexterity.
• Mechanical ability.
• Able to bend, twist, and squat in sometimes awkward positions for prolonged periods of time while exerting force (pushing or pulling) on hand tools to adjust.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• Full time position.
• Regularly scheduled to work 10 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Monday – Saturday, when required.

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 56 per week
