About Us:
For 40 years, since 1983, Professional Tutors of America, Inc. has provided educational services to thousands of students throughout California and nationwide. Our company started first as a tutoring company, and over the years we have evolved to becoming a comprehensive, full-service, Educational Consultant for over 300 School Districts.
We provide Academic Tutoring and Instruction for students in Regular Education Classes as well as Special Education Classes. We are proud to be a California Department of Education (CDE) Certified Non-Public Agency. All services are provided in person, one-on-one, at the student’s home or public library (parent's choice).

Our General Education team is looking for enthusiastic Academic Tutors who are eager to tutor students in English Language Arts, Reading Comprehension, and Writing. Students range from 6th -12th grade and are located in Roseville, CA.
Our tutors can earn $22-$30 per hour depending on education, degrees awarded, and professional teaching/tutoring experience. Tutors in California are part-time employees and are reimbursed for mileage and travel time while on-the-clock, (tutoring session to tutoring session). Administrative time is also provided.

Our tutors and parents work together to finalize a consistent weekly schedule. PTA provides materials to our tutors and we closely follow California Common Core State Standards to ensure our students excel academically. There are online pre- and post-assessments given to our students to track their academic progress. Tutoring sessions range from an hour to two hours maximum. Our tutors can work up to 25 hours per week.
