Come join our team as a Parent Mentor! PSG / CIP is a community-based social services organization looking for talented professionals like you to join our team.

The Parent Support Program (PSP) provides intensive parenting education and support to parents to build safe and effective parenting strategies, with a focus on enhancing the parent-child relationship.

As the Youth and Family Specialist, you will work closely with parents and families to address family goals related to : increasing family engagement, addiction and recovery, behavior modification techniques, anger and stress management, basic life skills, and family budgeting skills.

PSP encourages a strengths-based partnership with families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH AND FAMILY SPECIALIST :

  • Create review family treatment plans and monitor families in accordance with their treatment plans.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program clientele through individual, family, and group work.
  • Conduct home visits as per program standards.
  • Attend client court proceedings and provide updates on treatment progress, as required. Training is provided on this.
  • Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and / or family activities.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.

LOCATION : Office is located in Oshkosh, WI. Local travel required to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement.

Flexible hybrid work scheduling is available! Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.

SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday 8 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM with two scheduled evenings per week. No required overtime or weekends!

SALARY : $20.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
