We are looking for a Layout Tech (quality control) to join our teams! This is an amazing opportunity with a tier-1 manufacturing company.
Job Description
- Dimensionally check parts for start-ups, fixes, alterations, and conformity to blueprint specifications, and revisions.
- Perform periodic visual inspection of die cast/trimmed parts.
- Computes unobtainable dimensional information.
- Inspects and calibrates gages, fixtures, tooling as required and conducts GR&R studies before being used in manufacturing, inspection and die repair.
- Reads blueprints accurately with reasonable speed.
- Inspects segments, cores, and other die parts, when needed.
- Evaluates dimensional results for sample activities (i.e. new tooling, engineering changes and customer concerns/complaints).
- Works with Engineering and Tool Room to insure parts conform to specifications.
- Ability to explain the defects present in the die to Die Repair personnel after inspection of the casting.
- Generates and organizes PPAP documentation for submittal and maintains files and records.
