Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk/treatment coordinator/biller. As the Front Desk, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring efficient and effective customer service, and managing administrative tasks. This is a key role in our dental office, and we are looking for someone with strong knowledge of dental terminology, coding systems, and dental office procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk operations, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns
- Oversee patient registration and check-in process, ensuring accuracy of patient information
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment scheduling
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with medical recordkeeping standards
- Handle medical billing and collection processes, including verifying insurance information and processing payments
- Assist with coding procedures using DRG, ICD-10, and ICD-9 coding systems
- Train and supervise staff to ensure adherence to office policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting is required
- Experience in Denti-cal billing and pre-authorizations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (DRG, ICD-10), and medical office procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
