Remote General Transcriber

Professional At Home Jobs ( https : / / professionalathomejobs.com ) is now looking for someone to fill the position of a Remote General Transcriber to work in the U.S. only.

We are looking for experienced, quality-focused transcribers in the area of post-production.

SCHEDULE : We have continuing positions with flexible hours. However, weekends are needed (Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays).

Right now, we are in a very busy season with lots of work to be handed out. As with any transcription company the work fluctuates to the demands of our clients.

So, this is a hired on a project-to-project basis.

This is a remote position, work from the comfort of your own home as an independent contractor. You will be paid by check once a week.

THE DAY-TO-DAY TASKS

• Transcribe multi-speakers, transcribe verbatim, transcribe accurately even with background noise and overlapping conversations.
• Accept difficult files as well as the easier files.
• Use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, proficiently research uncertain names and words using Google and other search engines.
• Communicate on a daily basis with the Project Manager, check and respond to emails daily and in an efficient manner.
• Be available for 24 turnaround times it is imperative that you are available for corrections, if needed, after submission of your transcription assignment, insert time codes every 30-40 seconds or how instructed per guide.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE : MUST be a U.S. citizen. High school diploma or equivalent. Use MS Word proficiently. Able to read, understand and, follow the instructions and style guide for each assignment, type and proof your transcripts to 98% accuracy.

NOTE : You will be asked to take a Skills Assessment Test and to complete a 6-minute transcription evaluation to be considered for onboarding.

JOB REQUIREMENTS : Computer, Internet, and a home office set-up.

PAYMENT : Rate will vary by depending on the quality of the file and the amount of speakers. It goes from $0.75 to $1.10 per audio minute.

Once our transcribers have proven themselves, we can trust them with the rush work that pays more.
