Productive Resources is Hiring a Hydraulics System Design Engineer Near Decatur, IL

Decatur, IL - Full Time Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Decatur, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer. This role involves a blend of design tasks, troubleshooting plant issues, and managing quality and warranty matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic systems, excellent interpersonal skills, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement hydraulic systems, ensuring designs meet business and operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot various plant issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Manage quality control and warranty issues, providing on-site support as needed.
  • Follow the CAT issue resolution process, ensuring timely and effective problem-solving.
  • Act as an account manager to direct offshore engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and project alignment.
  • Engage in various design tasks related to hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plant issues as they arise.
  • Manage the CAT issue resolution process to ensure timely and efficient solutions.
  • Coordinate with offshore engineering teams to direct project activities and ensure quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic systems design and troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and high awareness of business implications in design.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience managing plant quality and warranty issues.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement design changes.
  • Familiarity with offshore engineering processes and team management.
  • Experience with CAT (Caterpillar) systems.
  • Creo Experience.
