ABOUT THIS ROLE

Produce Pharmacy, LLC supports patients directly and through retail locations around the greater Phoenix area. We offer quality sterile and non-sterile compounded medications for our patients. This position will be based at our new remote pharmacy location in the West Valley and be focused on providing patients with a convenient local pickup option for their compounded medications and an opportunity to consult with a pharmacist virtually. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for managing the location under the rules of remote pharmacy as the site will not be staffed with a pharmacist daily. This role requires diligence, attention to detail, superior organization skills and a desire to delight our patients in every interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee location under AZBOP Remote Pharmacy guidelines
• Greet patients and process pickup of prepared prescriptions
• Coordinate with pharmacist at supervising location to ensure regulatory compliance
• Facilitate virtual consultation between patients and remote pharmacists
• Process medication orders through point of sale system
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers by phone
• Leverage pharmacy management software for efficient entry of prescription information and to provide updates to patients as needed. Support data entry activities for all company sites when time allows.
• Participate in regular audits and inspections

REQUIREMENTS

• Full Time: 40 hours per week
• High School degree or equivalent
• Certified pharmacy technician in the state of Arizona
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to undergo a background check and drug testing in advance of employment
• Must be capable of donning the appropriate personal protective equipment as required per procedure and medication handled
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• 2 Hours of CE credit specific to Remote Pharmacy education per AZBOP required prior to start date

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
