Produce Packaging is Hiring a Dock Coordinator Near Willoughby, OH
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. In this capacity, you will be responsible for accurately receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our dock area.
HOURS: Sun-Thurs: 6pm start until end of shift; off Friday and Saturday
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of contents against shipping documents
- Inspect received items for damages or defects, reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Sort and organize received items in designated storage areas
-Ensure that everything that enters the warehouse and everything that leaves is recorded in our system. This is extremely important
- Assisting drivers account for product shipping out of the warehouse. At very least, you will verify that the product being shipped matches our invoice or delivery memo. When discrepancies exist, contact the appropriate duty department head immediately
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment
- Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment
- Load and unload trucks as needed, check accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines at all times
Assist with any matters as requested by your supervisor .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center
- Basic math skills for accurate counting and inventory management
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Experience working in a food environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Experience as a Coordinator/Supervisor strongly preferred
