On behalf of our client in the Financial Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Data Management / Info Sec Analyst.
Data Management / Info Sec Analyst - Job description
- Data analysis and modeling techniques
- Technical requirements writing
- Have hands-on experience in data modeling, reporting, and dashboards
- Have a thorough understanding of SQL, databases, tables, and data design concepts
- Produce data sets which are the basis for the interactive analytics and update the data sets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis through automatic ETL jobs
- Create, maintain, and improve the interactive analytics dashboards with appropriate data visualizations
- Presentation skills: The reports and data analysis artifacts must be presented to stakeholders in a clear and easily understood format in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or PDF documents.
- Work on CISO Metrics related projects: Work on assigned projects which generally involve the above areas.
- Design and build reports and templates on Cognos platform
- Advanced concepts of templates, layout reference components, PowerPoint-based reports in Cognos, automatic report generation and distribution are desired skills to have
- Design and build interactive analytics dashboards on Cognos platform
- Advanced data modeling concepts
- Be proficient in creating, modifying, and generating reports
- Be proficient in crafting data sets needed to support interactive analytics
- Understand the concepts of ETL (extraction, transform, and load)
- Must be able to produce precise and well-crafted reports, familiarity with SQL, and databases
- Understand general Information Security and understand Info Sec metrics in particular
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Have a working understanding of databases, tables, and data design concepts
- Be able to work with structured and unstructured data and be able to answer questions about the data
- Be able to put Excel and Access to use in the analysis
- Be able to construct queries and manipulate the data when necessary
- Must be able to perform simple macro writing in Excel and VBA programming
- Data analysis and manipulation and data design skills are a must
