The Clinical Research Coordinator Sr. works under limited supervision to run portions of interventional clinical trials, which includes assisting with orientation and training, obtaining signature for informed consent, managing central labs, managing study data, preparing for monitor visits and audits, and submitting safety and compliance reports to the IRB

• Oversees the day-to-day activities of ocular and cutaneous melanoma clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), federal regulations, and university policies.
• Maintains effective and ongoing communication with sponsor, research participants, investigators, research team, and clinical care team during the course of the study.
• Conducts or participates in the informed consent process including interactions with the IRB and discussions with research participants, including answering any questions related to the study.
• Screens subjects for eligibility using protocol specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, documenting each potential participant s eligibility or exclusion.
• Coordinates participant tests and procedures synergistically with the clinical care team(s) and ensures patient visit communication tools are up-to-date and accurate.
• Maintains accurate subject log, tracks expenses, submits appropriate documentation to Grant Administrator on a regular basis for payment due for visits on all studies.
• Participates in regular quality control assessments to ensure that clinical trial data is collected and stored per GCP.
• Organizes and maintains documentation of all patient data.
• Designs electronic capture databases, if appropriate, and manages all of the data collected.
• Trains and supervises research staff on the proper procedures for conducting a clinical trial per GCP.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor s Degree with two years of clinical research experience; OR
• Master s degree and one year of clinical research experience. OR
• High School with 8 years clinical research experience. OR
• High School with 6 years clinical research experience with a CRC certification from SoCRA or ACRP.
