About the Role:

As the Field Construction Manager at Process Machinery Inc., you will lead the execution of field projects and ensure they align with our stringent standards and client expectations. This pivotal role centers around strong leadership, from coordinating field crews and management to developing team capabilities and advancing their professional skills. You will manage project timelines, budgets, and uphold the highest safety protocols. This traveling position is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in dynamic settings, this role is crucial in driving both project success and team growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

  • Supervise the field construction of manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyze job sites, layout plant equipment, and center lines daily.
  • Analyze blueprints and manage changes in equipment daily.
  • Administer company policies and maintain safety procedures.
  • Compile records in daily work logbooks.

Management & Coordination:

  • Delegate tasks to field employees to ensure efficient job completion.
  • Organize and plan equipment logistics variably as per job requirements.
  • Oversee crane rigging and the safe operation of erection equipment.
  • Manage field crew schedules, equipment ordering, and budgeting.
  • Serve as the main liaison between project managers and field crews.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct personal and team training, focusing on quality management and safety.
  • Responsible for hiring and training new team members.

Client & Internal Relations:

  • Manage customer relations and ensure high service quality.
  • Act as a communication bridge between internal teams and external parties.

Location & commitments:

  • 90% travel to job sites around KY, OH, IN, AL, TN, MS, MO, and GA.
  • 1 – 5 overnights. State overnight travel is required as necessary based on job site and customer needs.
  • Annual training provided to industry standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2 or 4-year degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Technical training or related qualifications a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in field construction management or a similar role.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in crane rigging, heavy equipment operation, and blueprint reading.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high tolerance for stress.
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • High energy level required for a fast-paced work environment.

Additional skills (preferred):

  • Welding (stick)
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Forklift operation.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
