Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant(SLPA)
Oakland, CA
End Date: Open-ended
Hours per week: 40
Other important details:
- Currently have a supervising SLP who is managing IEPs and assessments.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Highly collaborative team,including collaboration with AT Specialist.
- Pay:$38 /hr
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant(SLPA) to join our dynamic team and provide comprehensive speech-language services to students with a range of communication needs. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners and contribute to a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services and develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with a range of communication disorders,including articulation disorders,language disorders,fluency disorders,and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers,parents,and other professionals to ensure students' success.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Provide professional development and training to other staff members.
Qualifications
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant from an accredited college or university.
- California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License (SLP).
- Experience working with students with a range of communication needs.
- Strong understanding of child development,speech-language disorders,and assessment and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
