Occupational Therapist Pay & Benefits:

Occupational Therapist Job Description:

• Assess students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to identify barriers to learning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals.
• Provide direct intervention services to students, including therapeutic activities and exercises.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement strategies that support students' academic and social success.
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Advocate for students' needs within the school environment and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
• Offer guidance and training to school staff on best practices for supporting students with sensory and motor challenges.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

Occupational Therapist Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred.

Interview Process:

• (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
• (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school
• Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
