Contract School Physical Therapist 2024-2025School Year
ProCare Therapy is working with a school district in West Covina, CA that is looking to hire a physical therapist for the 2024-2025school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.
The selected candidate will be hired on as a part time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, and weekly paychecks,
Caseload:

• Part time time: 10-15hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• August 2024 - May 2025
• 15 students on caseload
• K-12th grade

Responsibilities:

• Screens and/or evaluates students who have been referred to occupational therapy in the areas of fine motor performance, coordination, postural stability, perceptual motor performance, sensory processing and self-regulation and activities of daily living/functional skills (such as written productions and classroom tool use) with emphasis on present level of performance as related to academic functioning.
• Consults and collaborates with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate motor activities, self-help skills, sensory needs, adaptations, and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary.
• Maintains accurate records of students evaluated and served in occupational therapy program; including assessment results, IEP progress and other documentation or reports as needed.
• Participates in designated team meetings, individual education plan conferences and periodic reviews involving assessment, programming and reevaluation decisions.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• California Physical Therapist license
• Previous school based experience preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
