Contract School Occupational Therapist for 2024- 2025 school year

ProCare Therapy ispartnered with a school district located in Sacramento, CA that isseeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join theirteam for the 2024-2025school year with the opportunity to renew for the followingschool year.

As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and services to students with diverse needs to help them succeed in their educational environment.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a parttime contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, great support and weekly paychecks.

Caseload Details:

• Full time: 40hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• Hours: 7:30 - 4:00
• K-12th grade caseload
• 50-65 students on caseload
• COTA and interns onsite to assist with caseload
• 1-4 school sites
• Pay: $50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on evaluation findings and student needs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings, including individual and group sessions, classroom-based interventions, and consultative services.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' individualized education programs (IEPs) and classroom activities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to support achievement of goals.
• Educate school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies and accommodations to support students' occupational therapy needs in the school environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of occupational therapy services, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and billing records, in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to support a collaborative approach to student support services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• California Occupational Therapist license
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
