We areworking with a school district that is located in Stamford, CT that looking to hire a contract history teacherto join their staff for the 2023-2024 school year.
The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare.
Caseload:

• Middle and High School caseload
• 7th-12th grade Special Education certification or general education teaching certification in history or social studies
Hours: 7:30 - 3:30

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans: Create and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards, ensuring that students are actively involved in the learning process.
• Facilitate a positive learning environment: Foster a classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and respect among students. Address individual learning needs and provide necessary support.
• Assess student progress: Regularly assess and evaluate student performance through a variety of assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with colleagues to address individual and collective educational needs.
• Stay updated on educational trends: Stay informed about developments in the field of history education, incorporate innovative teaching strategies, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Maintain effective communication: Communicate with parents, colleagues, and school administration to ensure a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on History or a related field.
• Connecticut teaching certification or licensure.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

The district is looking to hire for the 2023-2024school year! Hourly rate for this opening is negotiable and will be experience-based.
