WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Scaling Room Attendant, you’ll be responsible for correctly scaling ingredients, following a prescribed formula/recipe that is scheduled for production in the mixing department. This position ensures adherence to the quality standards as established by the company

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates scales and related measuring equipment
• Ability to determine and select specified ingredients for scaling and product mixing
• Perform sifting activities as needed
• Place ingredients in designated bins / containers along with proper labeling
• Verifies the materials/ingredients coming into the scaling room are not expired, on hold, and are free from contamination
• Work in accordance with the established policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe working environment within the facility and property surrounding the building
• Meet or exceed daily production requirements as set by the production schedule
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping on work completed
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING ( MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS )

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 1 year working in a food manufacturing environment
• Must be able to understand and perform following directions given, understand Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain a high level of workmanship
• Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and energized equipment
• Work in production areas that may occasionally be a dusty and wet environment
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment
