About this Role

Probst Electric is looking for a safeyt professional!

The Construction Safety Supervisor is a support position within the Compliance and Safety Department, reporting to the Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of project-specific compliance and safety for power line construction. 

This position requires full-time travel to worksites. Your first assignment will be working on the construction of a transmission line in Maine.

What You'll Do

• Assist Safety Manager
• Perform on-site Employee Safety Orientation
• Perform safety observations sheet per crew each day while on project
• Perform weekly safety audits 
• Build professional relationships with crew members and client project personnel
• Assist safety department with required record keeping
• Manage onsite Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Assist safety department with the incident investigation process
• Attend and contribute to on-site project meetings
• Perform weekly safety trainings
• Promote the safety and health of the workforce.
• Monitor site operations for unsafe work practices.

What You'll Bring

• High school graduate and/or GED equivalent
• 1-3 years related experience (ideally within power line construction)
• OSHA 30 hr Construction certification and/or related safety certification, preferred
• Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
