The Sponsor supports analysts through the provision of large datasets, methodologies, and data visualizations to address pressing intelligence questions. The Sponsor requires support developing and maintaining a cloud-based data environment to transport, store, extract, transform, and load (ETL), and disseminate data solutions. The Sponsor needs experienced support in data engineering, cloud architecture, and application development. The work includes engaging regularly with data scientists, analysts, and managers. The Cloud Architect will oversee the implementation and operation of the Sponsor's cloud infrastructure; support decommissioning existing systems and re-engineering new solutions in cross-domain environments to maintain service availability across product lines; and facilitate connections among stakeholder, enterprise, and partner systems. They will develop and deploy multiple environments for development and testing, manage dependencies to ensure minimal degradation of service, and explore, cost, and facilitate contract drafting for cloud and other solutions. They will troubleshoot issues with existing systems and ascertain LOE for solutions and develop and implement System Security Plans and related documentation.
1. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services, including long-term storage options.
2. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with cloud-based database services such as Databricks or EMR.
3. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with SQL database structures and mapping between SQL databases.
4. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with ETL processes, devices and software such as Apache Nifi.
5. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with large scale data compute or processing clusters such as Hadoop.
6. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with developing and analyzing options for storing data in a cloud environment.
7. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience integrating cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
8. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience optimizing costs over time for a dynamic cloud environment.
9. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with containers and server-less technologies.
10. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with Python, Bash, and Terraform.
11. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with source control (Git), continuous build and delivery (Jenkins), issue management (Jira), documentation and collaboration (Confluence), automated testing, and infrastructure or configurations.
12. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps solutions and tools.
13. (Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s data environment.
14. (Desired) Demonstrated experience in storage and backup recovery systems.
15. (Desired) Demonstrated experience in the cyber security domain.
16. (Desired) Demonstrated experience working with data scientists or other technical analysts.
