Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Overview: Salary $65-80K Bonus. Day shift

We are searching for a safety conscious Maintenance Supervisor with heavy manufacturing experience to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and mobile equipment, and in facility maintenance of the industrial plant.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment are completed accurately and on-time to ensure continuation of production operations in line with determined work priorities.
  • Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Implements/supports preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Requests tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations, also obtains quotes for projects and equipment.
  • Implements training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Confers with management to resolve any personnel issues.
  • Assists in controlling costs in conjunction with departmental budgets.
  • Responsible to manage all employees assigned to his/her area of responsibility so the assets of the company are operated and cared for without any unnecessary damage. This includes requiring people to check out, clean, inspect and report any problems with the equipment on a routine basis.
  • Involved in Lean initiative that affect production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products.
  • Supervise and Motivate employees to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Responsible for plant personnel safety, and compliance with company policy. Conducting disciplinary actions as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with maintenance personnel and upper management
  • Effective writing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Safety training and knowledge
  • Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.

  • 7 years Maintenance Supervisory experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
