The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our warehouse facility.

This position requires a versatile individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Shift : 8am-4 : 30pm

Status : Temp to Hire

Pay : $20 / hr dependent upon experience

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to :
• Inspecting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Conducting regular inspections of facility equipment and machinery.
• Performing preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment such as conveyor systems, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Addressing maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Responding to emergency maintenance situations and resolving them efficiently.
• Conducting repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning equipment and fixtures.
• Assisting with facility renovations and upgrades as needed.
• Maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and replenishing them as necessary.
• Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Participating in training programs to stay updated on maintenance techniques and best practices.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.
• Relevant certifications or licenses may be advantageous.
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
