Role: Storage & Backup SME ( RED HAT System Administrator)

Job Description

• Interact with client technical teams to understand transformation requirements and implement solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, plan and regulations.
• Support Cloud transformation projects on an ongoing basis.
• Identify technical risks or blockers.
• Execute tasks assigned by program, project team, customer, and program leadership to ensure proper, timely completion of work.
• Communicate projects status to clients, management.
• Anticipate problems or situations that could affect project success. Support resolving escalated situations as needed.

Linux:

• 8 years’ experience as a Redhat Linux Administrator - install new Linux OS releases, configure, upgrade, patch, and secure servers
• Knowledge of clustering, imaging, building new server from image, RUBRIK, configuring backups, discussing with architecture teams, doing POC and finalizing tools or backup if necessary
• Administrators implement LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) web server configuration, which includes installation of all standard plugins, configuration, and SSL.
• Administrators need to have experience in handling NFS, CIFS, and SMB permissions.

Unix:

• 5-8 Yrs experience, with a minimum of 5 years working with Solaris 10, 11 and Solaris Virtualization including LDOMs and Zones.
• Familiarity of supporting web and application servers.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat)
• Skills in Perl and Unix shell programming is a plus.
• Experience in Storage and Clustering technologies.
• Working knowledge of LDAP, NFS, SAN and DNS protocols
• Knowledge of UNIX security and authorization functionality
• Business continuity and Disaster recovery experience
• It would be helpful if they have knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL databases, and storage technologies, such as Hitachi or NetApp.
• Experience of working on cloud platforms, such as AWS, OpenStack or Azure are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,130.27 - $90,479.46 per year
