Job Overview:
PRN Medical Solutions is seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. As a LD RN, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process.
Pay: $950.00 - $960
Per Diem Shifts: Day 1x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) or Night 1x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: June 2024*
Location: South LA County and Orange County
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the progress of labor, including fetal heart rate, contraction patterns, and maternal vital signs
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician 200 deliveries a month
- LD can do antepartum, intrapartum, circulate vag / C/S, work through PACU (general regional anesthesia), Interop (pre, inter, post CS, emergency D&C, or emergent hyst someone else in there with them for emergent events outside of C/S)
- Newborn role at delivery, and PP couplet care
- 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor / high risk, 3 triage
- Needs to be able to work in an OR suite during C-section (standard equipment)
Requirements
- 1 year minimum of recent experience in specialty
- (AHA) ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN (advanced)
- 2 direct supervisor references from within the past year
- Float to less or like specialties where needed and qualified
- EPIC experience
