Private Dental Office is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Rego Park, NY

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support

- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following proper infection control protocols

- Assist with front office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records

- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred

- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems

- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures

- Proficiency in using a scanner is preferred

- maintain a sterile environment

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
