Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is an important position that ensures a safe and sanitary environment for staff and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as hallways, lobbies, and break rooms
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Perform floor care duties, including buffing floors
- Ensure proper stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects as needed
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions are not offered.
