Health, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k and generous Personal Time Off benefits are available for full-time employees. This position will report to our contemporary showroom located in Schaumburg, IL. This is a great role for the person who likes to work with the customer. **JOB SUMMARY:**

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for all customer service activities relating to timely transitions of care.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

- DME customer service experience preferred.

- Proven performance record in customer service.

- Strong knowledge of federal, state and accrediting body regulations

- Demonstrates ability to work successfully with internal and external contacts

- Strong collaborative and demonstration skills in facilitating teamwork

- Demonstrates ability to work independently

- Clear understanding of Fort Medical and Prism Health Care Services, Inc. departments and the different Fort Medical and Prism Health Care Services, Inc. revenue cycle positions and responsibilities

- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, problem solving, investigational and analytical skills along with excellent listening and interpersonal skills

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

- Promote company program and services to assigned referral source.

- Supports the mission, vision and strategic plan of the organization.

- Responds to customer requests courteously and with respect.

- Approaches customers and inquiries in a manner which represents ownership.

- High level of customer care and responsiveness.

- High level of product knowledge and understanding.

- Accurate and efficient handling of all sales transactions, either cash, check or credit card payments.

- Maintain clean retail environment and stock levels.

- Performs appropriate tasks related to patient discharge and equipment fitting for a comprehensive and complete transition of care.

- Works with Quality Assurance to ensure details of referrals are complete and accurate prior to delivery and patient education.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources to include education on medical equipment qualification and policy changes.

- Answers incoming patient and referral calls; verifies all information; use appropriate forms.

- Refers troubleshooting calls to appropriate department, if needed

- Files all related documents in patient file

- Reports any patient or referral related problems to Branch Manager immediately

- Communicate information to Delivery Technicians or Branch Manager, as needed

- Receives appropriate paperwork and prescriptions as required.

- Attend in-service training when required

- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and making recommendations to executive leadership.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Meets monthly and quarterly productivity goals

- Interacts in strict adherence to HIPPA compliance regulations and related company policies.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
