PRISM Vision Group is Hiring a Sr Manager Special Projects Near New Providence, NJ

The Manager/Senior Manager, Special Projects (the “Manager”) is responsible for supporting the company in strategic planning as well as mission critical project ideation, planning, and execution. The Manager will be directly involved in managing cross-functional projects within Operations and supporting departments, with a primary focus on senior leader-originated projects. More specifically, the Manager will support the Senior Director of Special Projects in work efforts ranging from:

  1. Initiating, implementing, and optimizing new products, workflows, and processes (e.g., launching a care management platform, introducing a new therapy into the clinical environment, etc.);
  2. Organizational denovo and acquisition integration strategy.
  3. Annual planning and goal setting.
  4. Managing content creation for high-level leadership meetings; and
  5. Managing related strategic initiatives.
  • This individual will report to the Senior Director of Special Projects and will frequently interact with senior management and physician leadership.
  • Understand, assess, prioritize, validate, and track business demands and requirements through direct interaction with operations leaders, including SVPs, Regional Directors, and Office Managers.
  • Assist PRISM in the analysis, planning, and roll-out of new products and therapies, assessing operational, financial, and strategic impacts of potential innovations.
  • Support PRISM in activities surrounding denovo practice establishment and acquisition integration.Assist in the annual planning process, including internal stakeholder interviews, critical planning issue origination, goal and objective sourcing and synthesis, and KPI development.
  • Support the Chief Medical Officer in content creation and message development for the following meetings to facilitate physician leadership and engagement:
    1. Physician Leadership Council (monthly)
    2. Medical Director Council (monthly
    3. All Doctor Meeting (quarterly)
  • Support the Chief Executive Officer in content creation and message development for the following corporate-level meetings:
    1. Executive Staff Meeting (weekly)
    2. Town Hall (quarterly)
  • Support SVP-Level leadership in the development of materials for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Support the C-Level leadership, SVP-Level leadership, and Senior Director of Special Projects in board material presentations, as well as assist in the preparation of routine and ad hoc presentations and reporting packages for senior management and board review.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in either Business Management, Healthcare Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. MHA, MBA, or Masters in related field highly preferred. Advanced degree/certification would be considered in lieu of experience. 

Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive experience in project management, strategic planning, or leading consulting firm. Management consulting experience preferred.

  • A successful track-record of interacting with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including but not limited to C-level management, senior management, physicians, and office staff.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects ongoing at one time.
  • Strong presentation skills and effective with large and small audiences and on a one-on-one basis and to a wide range of constituencies. Able to tell a compelling story, persuade, and solicit buy-in.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Creative with a propensity to deal with frequent ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint and Excel).
  • An ability to travel for special projects. Day travel should be expected, with the expectation of five days per week in the Central Business Office or in the field. Overnight travel will remain minimal but may be more frequent during peak project implementation (in aggregate, less than 20% of working time).

Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and can get things done in a high-quality manner with limited guidance. Ability to prioritize and adapt based on changing priorities.

The position is closely connected to Chief Medical Officer, SVP of GO Operations, and SVP of Retina Operations and will have the opportunity to frequently interact with these individuals. PRISM is making a commitment to develop, train, and mentor the individual for future advancement within the organization.
