The Operations Supervisor is responsible for all work that is performed at the facility. This position will maintain and enforce company rules and policies in conjunction with quality, productivity and safety while adhering to NS and AAR standards. The successful candidate must be flexible with our schedule. The ability to work all shifts is a plus.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the management of daily operations
• Ensure compliance with company, AAR and NS requirements, policies and procedures
• Maintain and perform daily reporting
• Communicate with crews regarding work assignments
• Complete on-rail inspections
• Perform daily quality audits
• Equipment assignment and inspections
• All other terminal job duties as directed by the Terminal Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• General knowledge of supervision
• Good organizational & communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to delegate/prioritize & complete assigned duties

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Must have better than high school education or equal work experience
• Valid Drivers license
• Continuous employment for the last 6 months
• Ability to pass E-rail Safe background check
• Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office programs)
• Ability to work off shift and weekends a must

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The supervisor position will be include working in the yard in all- weather situations. Continuous bending, climbing, twisting and kneeling may be will be required to perform some aspects of this role.
