Priority Staffing Group is Hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Near Herrin, IL
Material Handler / Forklift Driver : Must be able to successfully drive a forklift without accidents, move material in gonds to machines for production / inventory, receiving in material, shipping product, utilizing scales and computers (for shipping) while accurately documenting data.
Other duties as assigned.Essential Functions :
- Detail Oriented
- Accurately Documenting Data
- Basic Math Skills
- Accurately Program, Read and Use Scales
- Accurately Weighing Buckets / Material to Determine Piece Counts
- Moving and Stacking Gonds & Pallets Containing Material with Forklift
- Bringing Material in Gonds to Machines during the Manufacturing Process
- Stacking Gonds for Warehouse Inventory
- Shipping and Receiving Material
- Computer usage for shipping
Requirements :
- Safety Conscience
- Manufacturing Forklift Experience (3 years min. preferred)
- Must demonstrate professional demeanor
- Reliable / Dedicated / Competent Self-Starter
- Able to work with little or No Supervision
- Team Player
- Positive Mental Attitude
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Lifting requirement- 40-50 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate extreme heat
- Sitting on Forklift and On feet all day
- Temp to Hire Position based on Attendance and Performance
$16-$19 / hr depending on experience. *Full-Time 40 hours per week. Typical hours are 7 : 30a 4p (M-F) during fall / winter / spring AND 6 : 30a 3p (M-F) during summer.
Some Saturday work may be possible during busy times, but rare.Successful Candidates hired as Permanent FT status are offered a benefits package including medical insurance (100% to employee), bonuses, employee incentive programs, PTO, Holiday pay, and much more valued at over $35,000 / year!
