General Job Function

The Patient Care Representative must be dedicated to supporting the mission of Priority Care Pediatrics, LLC: Priority Care Pediatrics provides essential and compassionate healthcare to our community. Also, dedicated to making sure the office is a model for achieving primary care excellence so that care is received in the right place, and in the manner that best suits a patient's needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors to determine the reason for the visit.
• Patient Check-in- This includes but is not limited to, verifying/updating demographics, verifying/collection insurance information, reviewing & obtaining required documents, etc.
• Performs pre-visit insurance eligibility verifications.
• Navigates multiple systems/software applications to perform the job duties as expected.
• Collecting payments for various reasons either in person or by phone. (i.e., co-pays, outstanding balances, etc)
• Patient Check-Out- this includes but is not limited to, providing visit summary paperwork, scheduling appointments, performing sales transactions, etc.
• Scheduling appointments in person or over the phone based on patient/family needs following scheduling guidelines.
• Day-to-day office duties include copying, faxing, scanning, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Selling and stocking over-the-counter medications through QuickStop at each location.
• Upholding kind and professional encounters with patients, families, and peers in person and over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule.
• Able to float to any location.
• Basic computer skills.
• Professionalism in the workplace.
• Previous customer service skills are preferred, but not required.
• Ability to multitask in text and verbal skills.
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
• Employees are required to comply with Priority Care Pediatrics Employee Immunization Policy. This includes the COVID and influenza vaccines.
• Employees are required to maintain CPR/ BLS. Priority Care Pediatrics will assist employees in obtaining their certifications upon hire if needed.
