06/01/2024 Summer Accelerated Chemistry will meet June 24, 2024 to July 30, 2024 from 8:30 - 3:00 with one hour for breaks and lunch, Monday through Thursday with one hour of virtual office hours on Fridays (Class will NOT meet July 4, 5)
Qualificiations: Appropriate NJ Teacher of Chemistry or Physical Science; Teaching experience preferred
Essential functions: Design and present a 6-week course as an in-person experience to prepare students to take AP Chemistry, Accelerated Chemistry or AP Biology in Fall 2024 targeting students who have been identified as having interest and potential for success in AP courses and rising 10th grade students who want to take the course to go directly to AP Chemistry or AP Biology and meet the requirements without the prior chemistry work. Wages for 120 hours of instruction, and 24 hours of lesson preparation included
Stipend: Up to 2 Chemistry and/or Physical Science teachers, pending enrollment @ $10,383 per teacher
