Job Title: Business Objects Universe Developer

Location: Tampa, FL or Jersey City, NJ (preferred)

Role Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Business Objects universes, including creating/modifying connections, access restrictions, and derived tables
• Create universes from scratch and convert .unv universes to .unx format
• Develop and maintain BO reports using Launchpad and Rich Client in BO versions 4.2 and 4.3, as well as Fiori Launchpad
• Utilize Launchpad Scheduler and Publications for report scheduling and distribution in both legacy Launchpad and Fiori Launchpad environments
• Employ advanced query and report techniques to optimize performance and enhance functionality
• Develop complex queries using SQL Developer or similar tools on Oracle databases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on Business Objects universe development
• Proficiency in both Designer (.unv) and Information Design Tool (.unx) for universe development
• Extensive experience in creating/modifying universe connections, access restrictions, and derived tables
• Strong understanding of BO report development using Launchpad, Rich Client, and Fiori Launchpad
• Expertise in Launchpad Scheduler and Publications for report scheduling and distribution
• Solid knowledge and experience in advanced query and report techniques to optimize performance
• Proficient in developing queries using SQL Developer or similar tools on Oracle databases
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• BO certification
• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
