Overview:
Prince of Peace Christian School Athletics department is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Varsity Head Cheer Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and growing (participation) our varsity cheerleading squad, fostering a positive Christian team culture, and promoting excellence both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cheerleading program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun positive environment.
• Plan and conduct engaging and productive practices that focus on technical proficiency, choreography, and performance quality.
• Prepare the team for POPCS sports events and TAPPS competitive events, by organizing training schedules, coordinating logistics, and providing guidance and support.
• Mentor and motivate student-athletes to reach their full potential academically, athletically, personally.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices, games, and events by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with school administration, athletic department staff, booster club, community outreach efforts, and other related-in activities.
• Serve as a positive Christian role model and ambassador for the cheerleading program, representing our school with professional, integrity, and pride.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experiences, preferably at the high school level or club, with a proven record of success in developing cheerleading teams.
• Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques, stunts, tumbling, and routines, as well as familiarity with current safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, inspire, and communicate with student-athletes, parents, staff, and community members.
• Organizational and managerial abilities, including the capacity to plan and execute practices, competitions, and events effectively and effectively.
• Commitment to promoting a positive team culture that values inclusivity, diversity, respect, and sportsmanship.
• Valid coaching certification and/or willingness to obtain required certifications and training as mandated by the school or TAPPS athletic association.
