TITLE:
Coordinator, Federal Programs
POSITION TYPE:
Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the effective coordination of Federal Programs and securing new funding opportunities through the development of proposals and grant applications that support Prince George County Public Schools’ mission
and strategic plan
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold Postgraduate Professional Licensure , Administration & Supervision PreK-12, preferred
Minimum five years of successful full-time teaching experience
Must have a thorough knowledge of school division objectives, procedures, methods, organization, principals, practices, and trends related to education
Monitor and evaluate new and/or current programs
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to solve problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and management skills
Ability to prepare required written reports including clear and concise reporting
Possess high moral standards and integrity
REPORTS TO:
Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Accountability
PERFORMANCE REPSONSIBILITIES:
Create/develop annual applications for Title I, Title II, & Title IV
Prepare Federal Monitoring review documents as required
Meet with school level personnel directly involved with program coordination
Monitor, input, review, and approve federal grant data
Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and program areas to match the school division’s priorities
Recommend and write proposals and funding applications
Assist with grant management procedures
Maintain progress on grant timelines, goals, strategies, and data collection
Serve as a liaison with principals and other departments on issues regarding grants
Provide division-wide professional learning related to transformational practices and division-wide innovative initiatives
Additional duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve months a year; Salary according to School Board Pay Plan
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of
Personnel.
