Primrose School of Round Rock North is Hiring an Assistant Director of a Preschool Near Round Rock, TX

We are currently looking for a qualified Assistant Director. The position is a Full-Time position. The Assistant Director ensures that the teaching staff understands the components and supports the philosophy of the Primrose Balanced Learning System. The Assistant Director will make classroom observations, provide professional support for the teachers, and identify staff training needs. The Assistant Director will help train teachers and ensure that all components of the Balanced Learning System are in place so teachers can implement the Balanced Learning curriculum effectively. Candidates must have a strong background in early childhood education, a passion for working with children, and strong leadership skills.

QUALIFICATIONS OF AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

  • College degree in Early Childhood Education OR related field
  • Early childhood management experience (PLUS)
  • Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility (2 YEARS)
  • Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet
  • Willing to learn to drive a 14-passenger vehicle for field trip transportation (No Special License Required)
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations

RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

  • Primarily in classrooms modeling various trainings to teaching staff
  • Ensures that teaching staff understands the components and supports the philosophy of the Primrose Balanced Learning System
  • Makes classroom observations, provides professional support for the teachers, and identifies staff training needs
  • Trains teachers and ensures that all other components of the Balanced Learning System are in place so teachers can implement the Balanced Learning curriculum effectively
  • May conduct tours of the school and interact with children and parents about programs/curriculum
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director
  • Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Willing to learn to drive a 14-passenger vehicle for field trip transportation (No Special License Required)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
