Position Description

We are looking for a talented, proven leader wanting to become a true “partner” and share in the success of our early education center.

This is a leadership position that will serve as the secondary point of responsibility (under the Center Director) for all school functions and operations, with a focus on building student enrollment through a clear strategy, milestones, and progress tracking reporting to ownership.

Our Atlanta-based ownership family is looking for a to manage the school (compliance, curriculum, staffing, enrollment, retention etc.) and to establish it as the premier early learning and child-care option. This leader will work with a strong current management team to independently manage the school and achieve key school performance targets: tuition revenue, student enrollment, maintaining optimal staffing levels.

Primary Responsibilities
Co-manage the major school processes: operations, hiring staff, and enrolling students
    Work collaboratively with the current management team under the Center Director (acting as a servant leader vs. a “boss”) Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children Bright from the Start rules and regulations Transportation training Stay current with licensing, etc.
  • Lead or co-manage all aspects of the school’s monthly expenses, working with ownership to coordinate timely payments, repairs, etc.
  • Set business performance goals (working with Center Director)
  • Coordinating with other members of the leadership team to maintain accountability for attaining targets (e.g., student enrollment targets)
  • Conduct classroom observations to regularly support and ensure the implementation and delivery of the research-informed Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
  • Create a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves
  • Assumes secondary overall responsibility to lead/manage the school (supported by other members of the leadership team)

Qualifications and Required Experience
Proven success in managing an early education center’s main operations
    Demonstrated ability to manage the school-parent-child relationship to engage our families and function as a brand ambassador for the school Proven ability to “lead by example” and work in harmony with existing staff Previous leadership experience in early education, preferably at a mid to large childcare facility Proven record successfully managing an early education school, including enrollment, budget, and financial performance accountability Desire and ability to function as the secondary responsible party for all ongoing school functions Previous experience understanding the financial performance of a school and being accountable for speaking to all aspects of school financial health (revenue, expense, profits, etc.)
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Primrose experiencePrior experience with a Primrose School highly desired Prior experience with ProCare (or similar school management software) highly desired
  • Leadership experience at a premium-quality early education centerCrème de la Crème, Goddard School, Kids r Kids, etc. A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field (or the equivalent in work experience) Must meet requirements of local childcare regulatory agency and Primrose School of Alpharetta East
