The Position Proposition:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of EPC projects focusing on substations and transmission lines. This position is ideal for a proactive and dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to transformative projects. You will collaborate with seasoned project managers to ensure that our projects meet the high standards of quality, time, and budget that Primoris is known for.

  • Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, management, and execution of assigned projects.
  • Help coordinate and supervise the project team and contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development and tracking of project milestones and financial goals.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is maintained accurately and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure clear and effective exchange of project information and updates.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and services, including preparing requisitions, evaluating bids, and recommending suppliers.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Participate in project review meetings and report on project status to management and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
Educational & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in project management within the power delivery sector, specifically substations and transmission lines.
  • Strong understanding of EPC processes, including design, procurement, and construction.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A commitment to safety and knowledge of industry-standard safety regulations.
