We have an immediate opening for a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) CAD Designer at our Commerce City, Colorado office. The position is responsible for the SUE drafting in AutoCAD for Plan and Profile designs.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process utility field data.
- Create and or update utility drawings utilizing processed field data.
- Communicate directly with SUE & internal for incoming orders and work.
- Meet on jobsites for large projects as needed.
- Work directly with City Inspectors and Engineers to review and change plans for permitting.
- Actively communicate with customers, vendors, and supervisors as situations warrant.
- Effectively manage and coordinate assigned work volumes.
- Prepare test pothole reports and utilize information to build bore profiles.
- Perform QC of deliverables with other team members.
- Perform records research and data collection for Plan and Profile.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Education or experience in AutoCAD Civil 3d.
- Work in a collaborating team environment.
- Ability to interpret Roadway Plans, Construction Plans, Utility as-built’s and Utility records.
- Must have knowledge of types of utilities.
- Excellent analytical and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Use of Plex Earth 5D.
- Ability to meet deadlines and Goals.
Q3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.
Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00 /Hourly - (DOE).
