Job Description

Primoris Heavy Civil is hiring an experienced Pile Driving Superintendent/Foreman to lead projects across Louisiana. This position requires someone with a minimum of 3-5 years of heavy civil/pile driving experience with emphasis on bridge construction. The Pile Driving Superintendent/Foreman provides input and technical expertise for heavy civil construction projects. On-site supervision of pile driving crews and foremen to ensure a safe, productive, and quality job is attained and costs are controlled in the construction discipline for the project site. Schedules labor, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractors within work discipline to effectively utilize all resources; and works with specifications and contract requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Set daily work objectives that meet the goals of the schedule and communicate them to the crew while encouraging the crew’s input in the setting of the goals.
• Schedule and request needed personnel as indicated for timely project completion in conjunction with project managers.
• Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures where practical on the project.
• Inspect materials when delivered to ensure they comply with quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure material is delivered to the construction site per established agreements and in a timely fashion.
• Report daily time of crew, equipment, and materials used, as well as quantities of work completed.
• Report any extra work, back charges to subcontractors, or delays caused by owner, utility company, or others.
• Perform other related duties as required of the position or as assigned by supervision.
• Travel as required; may include, but not limited to meetings, regular site construction support, training, etc.
• Ability to identify specific crane needed for the project.
• Ability to read and understand plans and spec's.
• Knowledge of required rigging for project.
• Ability to identifying the appropriate pile driving equipment needed.
• Knowledge of form work, including built wood forms.
• Must work well as part of a team.
• Conduct regular safety meetings with craft employees addressing specific work areas and conditions that require attention stressing compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Heavy Civil roadway and bridge experience required. 
• Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in all aspects of pile driving
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications 
• Good communication skills, both written as well as able to effectively verbally communicate with team members, suppliers, and any related project stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
• Driven and self-motivated problem solver. 
• Open to learn new processes and procedures.
