Primoris Engineering is in need of an experienced Project Estimator to support our Engineering team. Ideal candidates will have experience with all levels of the estimating process (from project development and planning, to supporting revisions and project turnover); a teamwork mentality coupled with natural leadership abilities; a knack for keeping their eye on the details. This is an in-office position which will be based out of our Houston or Tyler office.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Project Estimator is responsible for the preparation of all levels of estimates and related activities on a project that are required to support engineering and design-build projects. This includes leading the estimate during the project development phase, planning the estimate effort, interfacing with Estimate team members, estimating consolidation to final cost, leading the estimate reviews, supporting estimate revisions during contract negotiations, estimate conformance at award, kick-off and turnover to project controls, supporting change orders, control estimates, and model estimates/ closeouts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5 years of direct project estimating experience (relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement)
• Thorough understanding of all phases of estimating process
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Proficiency with Aspen Tech Capital Cost Estimator and Microsoft Excel
