We are Primeur, a smart Data Integration company who’s been serving the world’s largest organizations for over 35 years.To enlarge our IT Team, we are looking for a smart and creative Senior System Engineer/ Technical lead to join our teams in Milan.You will be included in a structured team, supported by senior professionals. You will be involved into a dynamic technical team responsible for designing, building and delivering key technical solutions such as: servers, containers, storage, networking, data centers, security solutions, and monitoring tools;In this role, you will participate in the overall design, deployment and feature roadmap for the architecture of our network and systems environment. You will work with other engineers to deliver performance, service standards and capacity planning model increasing your knowledge and skills. What you will do:Provide technical services and support for the following areas:Internal systems, cloud and network infrastructureMicrosoft related technologies (i.e. Windows Server, Exchange Online, SQL, SharePoint Online, 0365)VMware vSphere/ESXiRemote monitoring and management of system alerts and notificationsWork support issues mainly related to Microsoft systems, services and hosted solutionsInstall, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management toolsAdminister and manage the remote monitoring and management systemDevelop automation tools used for provisioning and management:Manage backup platformIdentify new products and solutions for existing servicesPropose new ideas to improve system reliability, availability and resilienceDocument maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructureBe available for other engineers and jr. staff and coach them Ideally, you have:a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role, ability to work in team and willingness to participate in challenging projects.Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.Comfortable using online collaboration & task management tools (Jira, Confluence, Office365 Suite). .. and we would very much appreciate if you have: Microsoft Windows ServervMware vSphere/ESXiOffice 365, Microsoft 365, Azure ADWorking knowledge of Ansible and Terraform for automating tasks and system provisioningWorking knowledge of monitoring / performance software such as Nagios, Prometheus and Elastik Stack.Good knowledge of networking and IT Security-related best practices (host hardening, attack surface reduction and the principles of “least privilege” for users profiling)Good knowledge of Backup Solutions (TSM, Veeam) and BC/DR principles.Experienced working knowledge of IBM platforms are considered as preferetial condition. What we offer:Permanent contract and a competitive salaryA lively, inclusive environmentFlexible timeTraining and career pathsA nice office in a central location, with smart-working options (hybrid work)Ticket restaurants (even in smart working)Job tools If you think we are a good match, apply and tell us how you can make a difference!
