About the Role :

As a Maintenance Repair Technician at The Cable Connection, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of industrial machines to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, applying your skills to various mechanical systems to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

Diagnose and Repair : Identify mechanical problems through diagnostic testing, reading blueprints, and conducting physical inspections.

Perform repairs to restore equipment to its optimal functioning state.

• Preventative Maintenance : Conduct regular maintenance checks and service machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment's lifespan.
• Installation and Upgrades : Assist in installing new machinery and upgrading existing equipment to improve performance and efficiency.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs performed, parts inventory, and order supplies as needed.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations, contributing to a safe working environment.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with the maintenance and other departments to minimize machinery downtime and meet production goals.

Skills and Qualifications :

• A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in a relevant field (, mechanical or electrical) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a machine / mechanical maintenance repair technician or similar role is required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems desired.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals is required.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment is required.
• Good physical condition and strength, as the job may require lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in tight enclosures is required.
• Attention to detail, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills is necessary.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team is required.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulations is a must.
