JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main function of a Data Scientist is generating actionable insights and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing advanced analytics models, identifying trends and patterns, and providing strategic insights to optimize business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity issues are understood clearly.
• Designing and conducting experiments to test hypotheses and validate models.
• Design, implement, automate and maintain executive & business health reporting such as power BI dashboards
• Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data analysis efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis and modeling, preferably in a large organization.
• Experience with database technologies
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with data manipulation and visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms, with the ability to apply them to real-world business problems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to support large team of 6000 by conducting studies and analyzing data and the impacts.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to Data studies to inform decision making and monitor changes. As well as cleaning and contextualizing existing data.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of the following,

• 30% meetings
• 40% modeling and analyzing data
• 20% reporting and sharing insight of data

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 4-5 years overall years of experience in the field required, preferable 10 years of experience.
• Degrees or certifications required: machine learning, AI, or Data science certification is required to be eligible for this role.
• Disqualifiers: Candidates with short durations on assignments will not be eligible for the role.
• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain clearly demonstrated experience within previous roles. Someone who has the mindset and ability to dig deeper into data to identify cause and effect will be a great fit for the role.
• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of insights, someone who is not afraid to deliver bad news, and ability to meet deadlines.
