As a Senior or Staff Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to make a wide impact on our tooling, coding standards, and codebase. Additionally, you will take the lead on building new or updating data driven product features working with cross functional teams to solve the technical challenges of our natural language processing and machine learning technology.

Roles and Responsibilities - How You Will Make an Impact

• Collaborate with design and product to build functional and delightful product experiences
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Build out frontend layers for new features and product

Relevant Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of Front End Web Software Development
• Expertise in JavaScript, React, Redux, and HTML5 / CSS3
• Experience building and maintaining frontend component libraries
• Experience with the development and long-term maintenance of SaaS products
• Proficiency writing unit and integration tests
• Experience leading commercial software technical projects end-to-end in an agile environment on any major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
• 5 years of shipping production grade software

Bonus Points

• Numerical methods and/or machine learning experience
• Back end development experience with Python
• Experience with organization-level cloud infrastructure
• Elasticsearch experience, especially as applied to information retrieval and search relevance

This role will consider applicants out of San Francisco, CA or Washington, DC
The annual cash compensation range for this position is US$200,000 to US$225,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
Primer works closely with the U.S. defense and intelligence establishment.
