Facility Maintenance Supervisor- Conveyors

$75,000 - $85,000 - 3rd Shift

We also have a performance driven bonus system in place so all the technicians are eligible for up to $1500/quarter ($6K/Year)

Job Description:

PrimeFlight GSE Maintenance provides maintenance to aviation customers throughout the United States. Stationary Equipment Supervisors deliver our mission statement of dedication to supporting the daily operational performance of our customers through the quality and integrity of our maintenance program. They share our vision of being the best maintenance provider in our industry and put our values of people first, quality service, integrity always, and trust earned at the forefront of every workday. To maintain our high level of service and safety. Stationary Equipment Supervisors allocate their time between, operations (35%), leadership (25%), operational process improvement (15%), finance (10%), documentation (5%), HR and recruiting (5%), and customer and vendor relationships (5%). Stationary Equipment Supervisors are entrusted to deliver the message of our mission, vision, and values to our employees and rapidly growing customer base.

Essential Functions:

Operations

  • Oversee facility maintenance operations while being hands-on.
  • Serve the needs of our customers through accurate and consistent communication
  • Develop, implement, maintain and oversee administration of policies, procedures and programs that enhance facility maintenance operations and support the achievement of PrimeFlight’s objectives.
  • Oversee the safe and productive operation of facility maintenance shops.
  • Supervise the audit activities of all shops and communicate results to appropriate management accurately and timely.
  • Act as primary interface with state agencies, such as OSHA and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage shop maintenance activities to ensure business objects are met on time, with maximum accuracy and quality and within budget.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management.

Leadership

  • Emulate and edify PrimeFlight’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Train, develop and coach staff on problem solving and management skills, equipping the team to successfully execute their duties and responsibilities.
  • Execute the professional development for staff by way of real time mentoring, coaching, problem solving and management guidance and redirection.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative and engaged team that will provide positive, encouraging and informative input and feedback.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, customers, vendors and regulatory officials.
  • Work well, and be an active and effective contributor with the senior management team.

Operational Process Improvement

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of all assigned operations annually. Report all findings in a written report and include necessary corrective action plans.

Finance

  • Develop and adhere to budget, both operational and replacement of capital equipment, including management of parts expenditures and inventory control.

Documentation

  • Make sure all operational paperwork is kept current and complete.
  • Complete weekly shop operations log.
  • Ensure accuracy of shop paperwork through operational audits and daily interaction with team.

HR/Recruiting

  • Assist in shop recruitment and hiring process.
  • manager/supervisor, may do first interview for
    shop lead technician. Second interviews will be done by national manager for shop mechanics/technicians.
  • Keep HR department informed of any staff changes, (i.e. hiring, promotions, terminations).
  • Maintain employee morale by timely completion of employee reviews.

Customer & Vendor Relationships

  • Ensure company is knowledgeable of and in compliance with all customer requirements.
  • Keep abreast of all industry news; especially as it relates to our customers.
  • Reach out to customers on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee and develop relationships with key suppliers to our shop operations.
  • Meet all customer goals.
  • Expeditiously manage customer concerns and complaints.
  • Assist in marketing services in local territories in an effort to develop PrimeFlight’s customer base.

Required Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum equivalent experience
  • Recent management experience in facilities maintenance, airline/aviation operations or a repair service environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Detail oriented
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with accounting principles, budgets, and financial reports
  • Knowledgeable in applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of working independently and in a team environment
  • Familiar with ISO 9001-2008
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office software
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving background
  • Ability to pass a 10 year background check and drug test
  • Able to lift 70 pounds

Full Time – Salaried

Reports to:

Site Manager

Working Conditions:

Ability to adjust to changing time zones, climate and living conditions. Work at several locations across the United States and from a telecommuting office.

Working Hours:

As determined by customer need, and a seniority based bid.
